The Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA: Takashi Niino, Representative Director and Chairperson; also Chairperson of NEC Corporation) is pleased to announce that CEATEC 2026 will be held at Makuhari Messe for four days from October 13 (Tuesday) to 16 (Friday), 2026. Visitor pre-registration to attend CEATEC 2026 is currently being accepted on the official CEATEC 2026 website (https://www.ceatec.com/en/).

CEATEC, which has consistently showcased how technology can enrich people’s lives, held its inaugural event in 2000 and grew as a trade fair for digital home appliances. In 2016, it declared a departure from being a “consumer electronics show,” shifting significantly toward becoming a comprehensive exhibition of digital innovation. Aiming for the realization of Society 5.0, it now depicts the future of society and daily life through “CPS/IoT” and “Co-creation.” Furthermore, in 2024, it was co-hosted for the first time with “Japan Mobility Show Bizweek,” organized by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA).

The theme for this year’s 27th edition is “Transformation – Where Companies, Industries, and Society Evolve.” The event serves not only as a venue to showcase outstanding technologies and concepts, but also as a place to enhance the value of transformation and accelerate social implementation.

Spreading over four exhibit areas—General Exhibits, X (Transformation) Park, Next Generation Park, and Global Park—there will be 821 companies & organizations exhibiting this year at CEATEC. Of these, 338 are first-time exhibitors, accounting for 41% of all exhibitors. Notably, a record number of 246 startups & university research institutions will take part in the exhibition, the highest number since 2014 when records were first kept in this category, bringing together a diverse range of exhibitors who will lead the next generation. Additionally, conferences—including pitch events—will feature more than 200 sessions on a variety of themes.

This year marks the second co-hosting of CEATEC with Japan Mobility Show Bizweek. To promote cross-industry co-creation from the respective perspectives of “digital technology” and “mobility,” the two exhibitions will further strengthen their collaboration in 2026. In addition to a special session in which the chairpersons of both organizing bodies will discuss “Toward Japan’s Future Society,” a variety of initiatives will be carried out to “create encounters” and “accelerate co-creation.”

CEATEC 2026 expects to attract more than 110,000 visitors over the four-day event. The final attendance figures will be announced after the event concludes.
