RIKEN is working on AI for Science which aims to innovate scientific research using AI. This includes the activities of TRIP-AGIS which focuses on developing foundation models for scientific research to further accelerate the research cycle, and the activities of RIKEN Center for Computational Science, which involves building the computational environments necessary for generative AI models for scientific research and creating systems that enable seamless integration of simulations and AI.
