The CEATEC AWARD is awarded to the most innovative and outstanding entries at CEATEC, where cutting-edge technologies are gathering.

The CEATEC AWARD is given to the most innovative and outstanding entries at CEATEC, where cutting-edge technologies from all over Japan and the world are gathered, This award was created to stimulate the industry by introducing superior technology to the public and contributing to the creation and development of new value and markets.

This is a prestigious award that is rigorously reviewed by CEATEC AWARD Review committee comprised of relevant academia and media.

The awards will be presented in various categories, including the "Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award," "Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Award," and "Minister of Digital Agency Award.

About Application

Application Period: Tuesday, July 2, 2024 - Friday, August 23, 2024
Application deadline: Friday, August 23, 2024, 17:00
Application Requirements: CEATEC 2024 exhibitors
Application Fee (per one application)　: Application Fee for General Exhibits exhibitors, Partners Park exhibitors, AI World exhibitors
JPY 55,000 (Including consumption tax) per application
Application Fee for Next Generation & Global categories
JPY 11,000 (Including consumption tax) per application

Preliminary screening (document review)
All applications will be screened by the review committee members, including reference materials.
Preliminary Screening
Based on the results of the document review by the judges, a preliminary screening will be held to select candidates for the Minister's Award and the category awards.
Exhibitors who pass the Preliminary Screening will be informed of the Final Screening after the Preliminary Screening.
Final Screening (Minister's Award and Category Award)

The Minister's Award and Category Award candidates selected in the Preliminary Screening will be selected at the Final Screening, which will consist of a presentation of the project and Q&A session by the exhibitors.

a. Explanation of candidate projects and Q&A session

Exhibitors who have passed the preliminary screening will be invited to attend the final screening and give a presentation on their projects. The judging committee will then hold a question-and-answer session.

b. Minister's Award and Category Award Final Selection Meeting

After the presentations and Q&A session, the Minister's Award and Category Award Final Selection Meeting will be held to select the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Award, the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award, the Minister of Digital Media Award, and each category award.
Announcement of Minister's Award and Category Award
The Minister's Awards and Category Awards will be announced on the official CEATEC website, in press releases, and in press releases.
The Minister's Award Ceremony will also be held at the Opening Reception.
Global Category Award Selection Committee Meeting
Judging and selection will be conducted by the judging committee at the CEATEC 2024 exhibition site.

Application Procedure

When submitting applications, please note the following

if you are submitting more than one application, please complete a separate application form for each.
a maximum of two files of supplementary materials may be submitted per application.
Materials with images/photos and technical details that provide a concrete image of the submitted project (PDF, no more than 10 pages in A4 size)
Video materials: MP4 format (submission is optional)
Please be sure to include the name of the exhibitor and the name of the submitted project (abbreviations are acceptable) in the file name of the supplementary materials. 3.
If you do not submit supplementary materials, there is a possibility that the information required for screening will be insufficient during the preliminary screening (document screening). 4.
Only technologies, products, services, etc. that will be exhibited at CEATEC 2024 may be submitted.

Please note that each category award has a specific entry target for each application.

Entry Eligibility for Innovation Category Awards

Companies/organizations exhibiting at CEATEC 2024 General Exhibits (regular exhibits) and AI Special Exhibit Projects are eligible.

Co-Creation Category Award Entries

Companies and organizations exhibiting at the CEATEC 2024 Partners Park are eligible.
Projects that have been jointly submitted by multiple companies, or developed and commercialized by multiple companies, and submitted by the representative company are eligible for this award.

Next Generation Park Category Award Entries

Companies, organizations, and university laboratories exhibiting at CEATEC 2024 Next Generation Park are eligible to enter.

Entry for the Global Category Award

Companies exhibiting at CEATEC 2024 Global Park are eligible.

One Grand Prix and one Runner-up Grand Prix will be selected for each category award, but the Runner-up Grand Prix may not be applicable as a result of the judging selection process.

Joint Entries for the Co-Creation Section Awards

If multiple companies are jointly submitting an entry, the representative company must fill in the "Application Contact Person" section and the jointly submitting companies must fill in the "Joint Entry Company Name" section.
the representative company must exhibit at CEATEC 2024 and present the submitted project.
even if the project is not entered for the Co-Creation Award, if the project is developed and commercialized by more than one company, it may be considered for the Co-Creation Award by the judging committee.
If you are entering a project for an award in another category, please indicate the name of the co-developing company/organization in the application outline column.

Other Notes, etc.

The submitted project must not infringe on any other patents, etc., and there must be no patents pending.
Applications will be invalidated in the event of fraudulent activities, such as false statements, or activities that undermine the objectives of the project after the application has been received.
The information provided by applicants during the screening period will be disclosed only to the Screening Committee, and will be handled with the utmost care.
