CEATEC 2025 Exhibition Outline Announced

The Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) – whose Representative Director/Chairperson is Kazuhiro Tsuga, Chairperson of Panasonic – has announced that CEATEC 2025 will be held over four days starting on October 14 (Tue) at Makuhari Messe. CEATEC celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024, and from the first exhibition in 2000, it has consistently served as a compass, indicating solutions to the changing issues and challenges faced by society, and revealing a future society made possible by technological innovations. Applications for participating in the 26th CEATEC will be accepted from 10 a.m. on February 13 (Thu), with priority applications accepted until April 30 (Wed).

CEATEC is one of the largest comprehensive digital innovation exhibitions in Japan. It is held every year in October with the stated purpose of “Aiming to realize Society 5.0, which balances economic development with solutions to social issues, bringing together technology, information, and people from all industries and business sectors to envision the future through ‘co-creation’.” Last year, 808 companies and organizations exhibited at CEATEC, which was attended by 112,014 people. This year, we have chosen the theme “Innovation for All” and are planning numerous projects for the event, centered on the idea that innovation can be brought about by anyone and benefit everyone – regardless of region or country, industry or field. CEATEC 2025 will not only be presenting the latest technologies and ideas, but also demonstrating exactly how these can be harnessed for future society and daily life, thus fostering greater interest and involvement from among a wider range of people, and creating opportunities to accelerate the implementation of these innovations.

Applications will be accepted from February 13 to exhibit in either the General Exhibits area or the Special Exhibits area; the latter comprises three parks — Partners & Global Park, AX (AI Transformation) Park, and Next Generation Park. For details, please refer to the official CEATEC 2025 website.

Kiyoshi Shikano, CEATEC Executive Producer, explains the significance of this event and what makes CEATEC 2025 special:

“CEATEC is Japan’s one and only comprehensive exhibition of digital innovation, where those who support the digital industry and those who use digital technologies gather under one roof, focusing not only on the development of digital technologies and their implementation in society, but also on providing a forum where people can become familiar with digital technologies, learn about them, and co-create with them to enrich society. Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan will also be held this year, so it is expected that there will be even more interest than usual in a future society that utilizes digital technologies to the full. The vision of the future presented in Osaka is something we want to interweave with CEATEC 2025, which is to follow the World Expo, providing opportunities to demonstrate more tangibly how such technologies can change our society and our lives. This is the purpose behind our AX Park special exhibit among others. We will further develop the “AI for All” special project featured last year, CEATEC’s 25th anniversary, and we will demonstrate the sort of future society and lifestyles that can be realized by AX – that is, AI-based initiatives to transform business processes and business models – when AI takes root in all industries and areas of life, hastening innovation. We are also planning many other projects which you can look forward to at CEATEC 2025, where we hope to see many companies and organizations from a wide range of industries and sectors.”
